What can we do now?

If you've been following the news on the DOJ, you'll know Biden has directed them to crack down on those pesky parents who for some reason believe they should be involved in their children's education. They are domestic terrorists or so we've been told. Obviously the main goal is to stop parents from speaking out at school board meetings about such things as whether or not its time to allow children schooling without masking, to critical race theory being taught in school along with what exactly that means, all the way to pornographic materials in the libraries and in writing assignments. That being said, where do we go from here.

Our first step is to keep going to those school board meetings and speaking our hearts. A recommendation would be to make sure someone is filming so there is proof of what was said and the manner in which it was delivered. Prepare your comments and stick to the script. Don't let them get you off script. Remain calm but firm. These are still our children and grandchildren. We have a right to be heard. I live in a small town with small town values. So far, there have been no issues, but it might be time to speak out now. Why? Because we need to stop them before they get one foothold in our school system. As a grandparent of school aged grandchildren, it is my duty to stand up for them, to be the voice of reason.

Next step is writing all our elected officials from the lowest level all the way to the White House and expressing our concern not only about this directive from Biden, but also the concern of how our future generation is being impacted by what is being taught in the schools.

Maybe you can get a group of parents and grandparents together to hold a rally for more involvement in the school board and what is allowed in the schools. Make sure the information is out there for all to hear. It seems our voices are not heard on main stream media, so its become our responsibility to make sure our neighbors know where we stand. If we remain silent, our neighbors will also. We need someone to take the lead.

There is a lot of talk of removing our children from public school either by placing them in private school or doing homeschooling. While some may be able to afford private schooling, a lot cannot. With parents working, homeschooling may be a challenge. Have you considered pooling resources with other parents or grandparents? Its an idea.

Finally, do not allow this obvious intimidation tactic from the White House to deter you from what is right for the children of our county. They are our future and as we can see, they are being indoctrinated in the worst possible way. The schools are trying to change their values and morals. We must stand firm and not allow this to happen.
