Can We Talk For A Minute About LTC Scheller?

Just about everyone of us knows LTC Stuart Scheller's story. He openly confronted the chain of command reference the pullout from Afghanistan. LTC Scheller wanted accountability. He said what many current military members thought and talked about, but he was very vocal and posted it online. We know he is in the brig and being charged with violations of the UCMJ under Article 88: Contempt toward officials, Article 90: Willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, Article 92: Failure to obey an order and Article 133: Conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. I believe LTC Scheller is someone we can all get behind. To say, no we must court martial him, is to say that our military system has become just as corrupt as the political system. Did you listen to the hearings with Milley, Austin and McKenzie? Those hearings were a joke. Not one of them accepted responsibility for what happened in Afghanistan. So the only person here being held accountable for anything is a man who stood up and asked the hard questions, publicly, knowing what he was going to lose. The only man who deserves our support is LTC Scheller. So how do we go about supporting him? Of course there is writing and calling our representatives and senators as well as the White House itself. We should all get behind that. It costs no more than your time and a stamp. If you have the ability to donate to his defense fund, go to pipehitterfoundation.org and click on the link to him and then donate. Another option is to get out in your local community and talk to folks. Everyone does not know what is going on with this brave man because MSM is not going to cover a patriot, especially when it doesn't fit their narrative. We should all do what we can for this brother at arms. LTC Scheller needs our support. If you have more thoughts on how to assist him, please add in comments.

I'm sorry Jackie but I just cannot in good conscience support any of the bad actors in this sad affair. The fact that it has come to involve the Corps being saddest of all.

Chico, I felt exactly the same way, but Mitch and I discussed this and I wonder if this is something he was doing to protect himself. That being said I also thought, couldn't he have done the same by not saying anything? I don't know, but it pissed me off just the same.

I was backing him until I read this, ungrateful SOB. Let him rot in jail and see if his friends come to his aid. Copied from the Insider. The MAGA community has raised more than $2 million for a Marine officer who went viral for criticizing the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and saying he wanted to "bring the whole fucking system down." The officer in question, however, has spoken out against former President Donald Trump. Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, a decorated battalion commander, is in military jail on suspicion of violating military laws. After the news, the Pipe Hitter Foundation set up a fundraising platform for Scheller. The foundation is run by the former Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, who was convicted in 2019 after posing…

As Veterans we have all been subject to the UCMJ. I am sure many of us at times have had to bite our tongue while silently questioning the manner or approach to certain orders, objectives, training or decisions our superiors pressed upon us. As an NCO we have had to hide our frustration from our soldiers, and support and defend the decisions of our Officers. That was our job as an NCO. I cannot imagine the pain, anger, and disdain many NCO's and Commanders experienced after years of sweat, toil, loss of life, blood and treasure. Then to have the top leaders, go along with the plan to evacuate in the manner Biden set before them. At this point th…

I agree with where you’re coming from, but believe these circumstances may warrant his response. If he pays under UCMJ then so be it, he had to absolutely know that would most likely be the consequence. I would rather they let him gracefully resign and move on. The concern allowing him to commit these acts with no repercussions is understandable and I get in the military it’s hard to get away from black and white to gray areas. Maybe this is a time for a little gray area.
